Welcome to AI QR Code Scanner & Generator ("the App"), developed and maintained by Zent AI Studio. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the App operates.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

1. Information You Provide

The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use its core features. All QR scan history and saved QR codes are stored only on your device using a local database.

2. Camera & Gallery Access

The App requests access to your device's camera to scan QR codes and to your photo gallery to import images for scanning and to save generated QR codes. Images are processed entirely on-device and are never uploaded to any server.

3. Location Permission

On Android 9 and below, location permission may be required by the operating system when connecting to a Wi-Fi network via a scanned QR code. This permission is used solely to enable the Wi-Fi connection feature. We do not collect, store, or share your location data.

4. Notification Permission

The App requests notification permission to send a daily reminder to maintain your scan streak. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device and are not controlled by a remote server. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

5. Automatically Collected Information (via Third-Party SDKs)

The App uses the following third-party services that may automatically collect certain data:

• Google AdMob – displays advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and interaction data to serve relevant ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Analytics – collects anonymised usage statistics (e.g., screen views, feature usage) to help us improve the App. No personally identifiable information is linked to these events. See Firebase Privacy.
• Firebase Crashlytics – automatically collects crash reports when the App encounters an error. Reports include device model, OS version, and the state of the App at the time of the crash. No personal data is included. See Firebase Privacy.

How We Use Information

• To provide core App features (scanning, creating, and saving QR codes).
• To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob.
• To diagnose crashes and fix bugs via Firebase Crashlytics.
• To understand general usage patterns and improve the App via Firebase Analytics.
• To send optional daily streak reminders via local notifications.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any third party.

Data Storage & Retention

All QR scan history, saved QR codes, and App settings are stored locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers. You can delete all local data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing its data from your device settings.

Crash reports and analytics data retained by Firebase are governed by Google's data retention policies.

Advertising

The App displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites and apps.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by adjusting your device's ad settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation

The App includes an ad-free mode that automatically activates when you scan 5 or more QR codes within a 12-hour window, giving you 12 hours without advertisements.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the data collected about you.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Opt out of analytics and personalised advertising.

Third-Party Links

QR codes may contain URLs that link to external websites. Once you open a link in your browser, you leave the App and are subject to the privacy policy of that external site. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for third-party sites or services.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the App and your locally stored data. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device's operating system and the App up to date.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
